Only just seen this thread. I pulled the other thread, not because someone may have been falsely claiming he had caught a bigger fish than he really had, not because he may have been a poacher, but because members were publicly making those accusations in an open forum.

Whether the accusations were true or not is for debate elsewhere. but I felt the need to prevent members making possibly libellous accusations in the threads. Legally it was a risky thing for them to do. I had been asked by three other members to pull the thread, and it seemed the best way to go.

Feel free to continue the debate in private, in whatever way you feel you should.

If you feel the need to question the weight of a fish in here, there are more subtle ways to do so using this fine language of ours, without making any legally dodgy statements.
