I use anything from 3 to 5 ounce tips on the tidal trent, i have a 14 and 13 foot quiver rod both capable of playing and landing barbel, i personally prefer longer rods to keep more line out of the water
i also have a spod rod and a big home made feeder to get some bait out before i start fishing
