Default river tame help
i could do with some advice lads. i had a go on the fly tackle on tuesday for a few hours. fished up near the weir and footbridge and finished off at the beach. not a touch but i dont think my nymphs were heavy enough to be on the bottom. anyways i enjoyed myself for a few hours. are the grayling throughout the river or are they usually caught on certain pegs. also whats the trout population on this stretch? and are they any trout above the weir

some decent trout above the weir dan dunney had them to 3lb,good grayling peg is just above the rapids as you come off the carpark where the pylon is,but as far as i know they are pretty much along the stretch.

trout through the entire length and some proper cannibles as well , grayling are a bit more peggy , but the peg where you had the barbel throws up a few and right at the back end of the beach has a fair few, look for faster water as they tend to prefer it.
