River Carp
I read a few stories on elusive double figure carp being caught from rivers.
If your one of the lucky few please share your catch report with us.

There are quite a few carp in the Thames my pb is 21lb 4oz caught from a weirpool on a snatched quick session, when on the previous night an angler caught a 19lb common. So that inspired me to grab some garlic meat and give them a go. I'll post a pic if you want.

There is a lot of them in the Trent too, but getting them out without getting smashed to bits on the barbel tackle is another thing.

Thames
I have caught several 20lb+ carp out of rivers mainly the Thames, they are easy to catch the hard bit is locating them. If you find a spot then you are assured that 500 other people have as well and then its difficult to get in the swim, they are not feeding due to huge amounts of bait being thrown in.
I personally know of at least 2 people who have caught 30lb+ Carp from the Thames as well. Lots of articles on the net about it plus some nice videos on youtube. One article saying that the EA had found in one stretch of the Thames that Carp out numbered other fish 3 to 1.

I spent last season thinking I had lost a VERY big barbel on the Trent. Hook pulled out after quite a scrap. It was only about two weeks ago that I realised it was very probably a carp. I was starting to win the battle when the hook pulled out.
Devastated at the time, but now, thinking carp, less so.
