Any tips on hunting perch in rivers, Im I right in guessing that they like deeper runs and snaggy areas.

The deeper areas are worth a go, but I have also had river perch in the same spots as barbel. Some right in the full flow.
Separating out the bigger fish can be difficult, for as I am sure you know, even a small perch has a huge mouth on it, and it is not afraid to use it.

Best place to catch a big perch at the moment i suggest is a weirpool because most of the fry are still hanging around there. However there will be a lot of small Perch to get through.Last knockings is probably the best time
