Any one know if coombs at chaple is still free, and can you fishi it in closed season

I think its still free was last season, so no rules , got some nice pike in there and a few carp, used to fish it for the bream on the far bank.

hi C.F.C. yes like saint said still some nice fish at coombs, its still free british waterways took it back when the fed gave it up. billy.

still free fishing and like billy said some good fish in there,not many carp around 70 so i've been told but the bigun is a belter

Hi guys, went up to coombs couple of weeks ago, caught my first double pike @ 14lb, yes still free.

Hi guys yes its free fishing i am up there most of the time the only thing that has changed is you cant night fish it no more , and as for the big pike i have seen a 20lb come out and i have had a 14lb out of there.
Also i have seen pics of a upper 20 come out of there and have heard that there is a 30lb in there, as for the carp i have heard there is 20lb plus in there and have seen some good pics of carp coming out of there too.

As far as i know the night fishing camping was stopped due to the local kids and some anglers not taking there crap home with them and also setting fire to some of the trees.
The boat club complained and the farmer who owns the land stopped all night fishing camping , but that was a few months ago i have not been since before march so not sure if that is still in force, i am going up there in a couple of weeks so i will do abit of digging and see what i can find out.

had a drive past coombs today ,looks to be very low and nobody fishing it
