come on guys 31 members over night, not bad but the membership needs to grow.
the intentions are to send a link to the council to show that local people care about the surroudings and that the money could be better spent in the community
cheers and tight lines

objections
i,ve just had a nosy on the planning application website for both schemes and otterspool has 8 objections, pearmill has 6 objections so far. the 6 people who left objections on pearmill also left objections to otterspool, which means only 8 people have objected.
1 person from hampshire kindly left an objection and at a guess i would assume has probably never visited the river (although i could be wrong), now if somebody from so far away has objected why haven,t the locals, its far to easy to sit on the fence and pretend the problem will go away, if you care about the river its surroundings and obviously your fishing get your objection letters in
tight lines all

Jerry. Could you let me have the addys for the planning website pages that list the objectors. The web address I look at seems to list no appeals as yet. Your addresses must be more up to date.
Is the Alam Butterworth objection one of them? I hope so, it is good stuff, especially the part where he says the return should be directly into the weir itself. This would scupper their existing plan and leave the beach largely untouched, if they acted on that,. although the flow pattern in the weir would still be greatly changed of course.
I wonder if any of us will be invited to the planning meeting?
Only 8 objections, but 30 odd on your facebook site. Very disappointing guys. Even more important to ensure that the facebook protest is sent to the planners, with detaiuls of numbers of "faces".

89 members on facebook, I spoke to the planning office, they said its more the content of the letters than the volume of complaints.
Lets hope that they are some educated people with enough foresite to see that this scheme is just a waste of money and time.

jayz
the link i use is Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council Planning Pages
then imput 043916 or 043754 then search, then a new planning page will open, click on the planning number then you will get the full planning agenda, scroll down and next to objections is a click here for a list link, click on that and scroll down and you will see the addresses of everyone who has objected, no names though, the fed are on otterspools but not on pm yet.
sorry for the step by step i had to write it as i checked it
cheers
tight lines
