Thats good stuff John, we need to start from the bottom, as in our own homes. There is so much room for improvement in the buildings we're paying £1000's to heat every year.

I spent around £30 on mastic and air infiltration strips and now have my thermostat set to 15c.

Some of my clients have reported 70% reduction in energy bills due to finding building defects, missing insulation problems and just basic common sense advice.

Im with you on that most wiers should removed or large fish passes installed.
Ive read that in America they are removing weirs (low head dams) from urban or popular areas as to many children and adults die in them.
