going to kings weir on the river lea sunday, first time i have fished it in38 years dont know if it will fish as well as i remember so it will be a right old trip down memory lane for me

Blimey, everyone on here seems to be an old timer returning after loads of year's out! 38 years is the longhest I've seen so far. Let us know how you get on.

Out of interest, how are you fishing? Is it hair/bolt rig, what bait etc etc? What did you use 38 years ago? I used to catch loads of stuff just float fishing (but never Barbel), it's all changed now mate.

Hi everyone,ive been fishing the Ribble lately,mostly been fishing the severn and Teme on the Ribble at the weekend....been chasing the barbel for about 15 years now..never caught anything bigger than 11lb seems to be the number im stuck on[not a bad number]so the quest for larger fish goes on.........

the night i was due to go fishing on Kings Weir i was getting my gear by the front door for a quick gettaway and "snap" me bloody back went out, i have only just been able to move enough to get out of bed to come down stairs to post this, anyway i will get down there and dangle a line, so will let you know how i get on after!
