Hi everybody,
I have decided to take up fishing again after 25 year lay off.God what a birds nest of confusion this sport has become.Anyway thanks to Matt Hayes on u tube and forums like this im beginning to understand baitrunner reels,bolt,helicopter & hair rigs pellets & boilies & pva bags etc.
My local river is the ribble at Preston so any advice will be appreciated.I have to admit to never catching a barbel before, plenty of carp & tench but no barbel so my ambition this year is to put that right.
Hope to hear from you experts soon ive got loads of stupid questions to ask you.

welcome stentorion 781.. i think you will find loads of help on this forum for the ribble on here. i think the ribble lads will give you lots of info. good luck. billy Wink3

Thanks for your reply ive just been looking for a good angling club to join.Southport look ok no waiting list with access to the church deeps and pretty reasonable subs.I would be interested in your opinion what do you think.
