An iPhone app that provides flood warnings has added to the Environment Agency's use of technology to protect the public from floods.
The new 'Flood Alert' app gives users real time updates on flood warnings by using live data from the agency.
The app has also been designed to give information to people, communities and businesses on how they can reduce flood risk.
The application can be downloaded from the Apple ‘App Store’ and is available throughout England and Wales 24 hours a day. Both an Android and Blackberry version will be launched in the next few months.
