I walk to work & back every day, along the Trent side between Trent & Ladybay bridges, behind Nottingham Forest FC. There are few days when I don't see at least one Cormorant! Not so many in the summer but plenty at this time of year. When all the snow & ice was here last year, there were squadron's of them on the Trent, doubtless because the stillwaters were iced over.. They even fish the floodwater with snow melt & road salt in it, when nobody can get a bite from anything........and they come up with a fish on most dives!
