Default A6 M56 Manchester Airport Stockport Link Road
Got way to much time on my hands so I made this map showing location of this new A6 M56 stockport to manchester airport link road.
If the road will start from the A6, it will start at just up from Mill lane in Hazel Grove.
Kiss goodbye to brookside garden centre, bit of bramhall golf club and a good chuck of styal golf club.

You'll see that the A6m starts at the M60 j25 Bredbury then rips through the goyt valley, offerton, Stockport Golf Club then Hazel Grove golf club meeting the A6

mill lane hazel grove - Google Maps

Good news for some but devastating news for others.

You'll find that most of the land needed for this new link from A6 in Stockport to Manchester Airport M56 is already owned by the government.

Looking at the UK geo survey site, the borehole surveys have already been done, including the poynton bypass.

Thanks Glenn, I am a bit of a geek when it comes to roads and maps and the like so appreciate your efforts on this. Can you advise where you got the info from? Is that road really going to go all the way through the Sale? I have Googled about and cant find anything really.

Thanks

Ted

the pink lines show old planned motorway routes. Click the links in the posts to the sites that hold more detailed info.
The road is only from hazel grove to the airport, I'm sure the west link (sale to Manchester airport) is not going to be built.
