isn't that Micker Brook?

The Mersey doesn't flow through Cheadle Closest it gets is where Micker Brook joins between Cheadle Bridge and Kingsway. Even there it's on the wrong side of the motorway.

Definitely the Micker Brook. Not fished it myself but did hear of small chub being caught in the Brook a number of years ago, I don't know where exactly though. No recent info.

I have seen trout much higher up ( above Bramhall) and loach.

PS I deleted the 2nd thread on this as it was just a duplicate of this one really. Renamed thread as Micker Brook.

i have fished the actual brook off gatley road. there is a small weir on the brook and the pool has chub perch roach and brown trout. my mate has had the trout on the spinner. he says there is a trout farm further upstream and they jump the tanks in flood they are defo not wild anyway as they are too big. last time i fished it i had loads ofmed size perch. its very snaggy tho
