This site can be a bit noisy at times. Anyone can come on the site at any time. I was there recently and we had a bunch of , I'll call them youths, who came onsite at around 11.00 pm, pitched a tent and then proceeded to be a nuisance to all and sundry. Loud music, swilling beer, swearing loudly. Thankfully, they left quite early, probably to avoid paying their site fee. Not trying to put a damper on your visit, but it is something you need to be aware of. As for the fishing, it can be a bit patchy although there has been some good catches recorded. The main camping field site is controlled by Kinver Freeliners and tickets, at £5.00, can be bought from the pub. Above the camp field, it is controlled by Barbel Alley angling:
Home - BARBEL ALLEY ANGLING HAMPTON LOADE. On the opposite bank, it is all BAA water and day tickets are £6.00. If you really want a good days fishing on the Severn, might I suggest that you try Eardington, just below Bridgnorth. I have had some really good days there. Hope this helps!
