unless your going for those spanish ones that get to 20+lbs
average stamp of tc for our barbel tends to be 1.5lb to 1.75lbs and max 2lb tc, only mho though.
`Not to big at all, nice progressive action soft tip and loads of power further down more like a stepped up avon, as good with 8 lb line as it is powerfull with 12lb very light and a dream to fish with.
Perfect rod I'd have it you can cover hit&hold tactics, flood fishing, stretpegging, touch ledgering and trotting an Avon as long as there's a nice action to it.
I have 2 of these rods for sale at a bargain £200 for the pair, 1 has been used the 1 time and the other only came out a dozen times last winter. Great flood or tidal trent rod, superb non lock action and Fuji SIC lined rings througout.
Bargain, reason for SAle is I have a pair of Shimano Concept power Barbel rods
Hiya Jon if I had £200 I'd have them. I do have a pair of the 11fts and there great but I'm sure that extra foot would make it even better good luck selling them who ever buys them won't regret it.
I know the are excellent rods, IMO they are best off theshelf Barbel rods on the market. My shims are good but let down by poor ringing which will be getting new ringing in the new year, most probably the same as the daiwa Infinity's.
hi lads
i have gone for harris barbel rod with two tips one 1-3/4 tc and other 2lb tc 12 ,i have had harrison blanks in the past so well pleased with the action
