By the sounds of it, one to avoid...
I'm still using Abu 506's and the Okuma Sheffield for my float stuff. I can't find a fixed spool reel that I'm happy with trotting... Maybe that's just me?

hi chaps,
i'm using fox stratos fs7000's at the moment what a well built reel they are super smooth with 16 bearings, light enough for delicate work strong enough to tame big fish too, i also use an okuma undertaker a lovely little reel for my tip work.

I have also yet to find a suitable trotting fixed spool.
Anyone recommend a reel which NEVER gets line tangled behind the spool? It really annoys me that 35 years on, I still have the same problem ( and worse! ) with far more modern reels that my old Mitchell 411's.
I realise that it may well be how I use them, but it still should not happen.
