Thumbs up excellent.
the 2 butterfly screws have been changed on mine for the preston accesory screws, and as for tipping over i use a brolly peg at the back end stable as you will get it.appart from that great piece of kit worth £40 in my book.if you break it down in parts butt caps, buzzer bar etc it would cost you a lot more.

Default Tripods
Fox Ranger is a terrific piece of kit, but pricey. Ok if you are a carper as well.

I've used my TBR2 once, it was a bit like a comedy sketch of erecting an old fashioned deck chair (lol).

Once sorted, it was rock solid... For the time being it'll be left at home, touch legering with one rod seems the way to go for me at the moment.

With any of these, how well they work probably depends upon how well you set them up to match the ground on which you place them. Soft ground gives you more options. Hard rock or gravel, and you may need to think it through a bit more.
All down to the mechanics/physics really.

back leads are for on lakes and stillwaters i cant think of any reason that they would inprove your fishing on a river its just another angle to decrease bite detection also its just another thing to get snagged up.......But thats only my view

I,ve caught plenty of barbel without the use of backleads, but for the type of fishing that i do now(clear water and highly presurised fish)i,ve found that backleads give me a better chance at hooking the fish.Watching fish drift around in the swim and spooking on the line does no one any favours so having at least 8ft of line anchored on the bottom allows the fish to feed confidently thus allowing the fish to take my bait and let all hell break loose.ACE

The point i was trying to get across is that you fish every river differently.I use all kinds of methods even fishing slack(big bow) lines.Backleads work for me on the rivers i fish
