I had a barbel seeker but to be honest, i couldnt get usedto the blank. I do prefer the Harrison torrix or The daiwa infinity advanced barbel in 1.75 or 2lb. a very good off the shelf rod

Have to agree about the Seeker to some extent own one myself nice rod but can't justify the price I payed dos'nt quite have it when compared to my all time favourite the Freespirit Barbel Tamer, Stepped Up (Original version from around eight years ago not the latest Xwrap version as available today)

Payed about £90 for one when they first came out. Wish now that I had bought more than one as mine is looking a little ropey these days but cosmetics aside it's still pulling them out as effectively as when new . They sell on Ebay for around £100 now one went for £112 just last week.

Superb playing action with loads of balls in the middle of the blank, very forgiving and very versatile as much at home taking big fish under the rod tip on the Teme & Warks Avon as it is banging out a 5oz lead into Severn when it's at full spate the only downside some people have commented on is the thickness of the tip which could decrease the sensitivity to some extent, however considering most Barbel will drag the rod into the river given the chance for me personaly the thickness of the tip is not an issue.

The rod is supplied with two tip sections, these days I use the Avon style tip exclusivley the quiver tip section has a 3oz tip I think but don't quote me on that as I'm not sure.
