Default What line for my centrepin
Hi i am opening this up because as a bit of a centrepin virgin i need some help i have just brought my first centrepin in many years for trotting for barbel/chub plus the odd silver fish what i need to now what are the best lines to use for this as i like to go on recomendations rather than what the tackle shop tells me any suggestions are greatfully recived

If it's for trotting then you should require a floating line. If I'm feeling flush then I'd choose Ultima Flo-Cast. Feeling the pinch then I'd go for bog standard Drennan Floatfish.

check out the cost of fly lines its often cheaper than course gear and its the same stuff,alot are using braid now as well.

Ifits float fishing, you will not go wrong with 8lb ultima power pro, thin and tough as old boots.

I use Ultima Flo-Cast, it's hollow with small grooves along its length making it float high in the water and makes mending your line a doddle, does not need any floatant added and is 'anti twist'. It also makes it a superb 'casting line' and is also a great line for fishing on the surface for other fish like Carp and Chub.
