Default Okuma epix v2 epx 40
Does anybody own one of these on the rivers?going to need a couple of reels just to use on the rivers, using my shimano 4000 dl front drag at mo but would like to save it for lakes! Owned an okuma interceptor a long time ago and that seemed a smooth reel.cheers paul

I have 2 for Back up, I love my shimano's too much to use the Epix instead but they are, like said above very good reels mate, buy with confidence, Okuma make good reels and they never let you down.

Default reels
Got to be okuma interceptors in 50 size for me i've allways used them and they've been excellent and under £30 a piece great value too. Getting harder to find now but a few place still stock them.

I bought a pair of the original Epix Pro around 10yrs ago as stop gap reels while deciding what other reels to get after my Shimanos gave up after years of abuse. I service them every year and they have never failed despite some horrendous abuse. If the new ones are half as good they will be worth it.
