Great link - great site!
I had great fun a few years ago fishing at Holyhead Breakwater - just dropping a float down the wall on my barbel rod with ragworm as bait caught Pollack, Wrasse, Whitting and a few mini species i didn't recognise!
Couldnt get over how hard the wrasse and pollack pull! Great fun!

Think Ill go back there myself this winter not been for 3 years, also really fancy catching a mullet as well , but I'm unsure if they a winter fish or just summer, the good thing about anglsey is if theres a strong wind on one side of the island you just drive to the other side and fish in the lea.Ive not had any thing big off the rocks but always had plenty, last time I went I caught 7 , 3 dogfish, 3 pollack and a gunard , gutted and cleaned them put them under the car while I had a kip and didn't want to stink it out and woke up with about 7 cats around the car and no fish !!!!! dont know where they came from

I have often thought about tackling mullet myself, and was going to ask Kev for a few pointers. I think that they are a summer species though. Let me know, Saint, if you fancy sharing the petrol sometime, as I suspect Kev may not be up to it for a while after his recent ops.
I have this probably very misguided idea that mullet only seem hard to catch for sea anglers because they are unused to fishing delicately. Let me know if I now have to dodge any two kilogramme perks flying my way.

Ive only ever fished for mullet abroad and they are very hard to catch don't see why ours would be an different as there mouths aren't the widest , with a kink in the bottom lip, very frustrating fish. I spend most of my time wrasse fishing as they are beautiful fish of such varying colours. Would love to fish for some bull huss jayz if you fancy it, but need to find out what season they inshore.
