Sounds like a magnificent fish, gf. Has the Wandle pretty much recovered from that pollution incident a couple of years ago?

Ghetto, isn't the farm area now on a club ticket? I have tried to get a ticket and join their forum but never heard anything at all.
I always seemed to turn up down there the day after a big barbel has been caught.

Abbey mills is all free, only one swim that is controlled and thats the point where 2 points of the river meet just be4 abbey mills as its still within morden hall park boundaries,

Its amazing to see how the Wandle has recovered in such a short period of time. The amount of quality fish that were lost, you would have thought it would have taken years to recover. I have no doubt it is capable of producing a fish of this size.

I also i have a key to a very secluded fenced off area in mithcam that has a few really productive swims, i had the 6lbs barbel there and a 4lb chub, i would also be happy to show u this swim and let u in, tight lines
Ghetto,
Thank you very much for that, i am presuming it's the same club that has the website. I know which swim you mean, think that is one of the favourites as always used to be somebody in it, when i went walking. The mitcham area sounds interesting.

Are you down this weekend anywhere? I may be able to get out for a walk at some point for an hour or two, so i just jump on the bus.
