Default Digital Scales
Looking to buy a new set of scales are the digitals as accurate as the old needle & dial type?

Had a brief look at whats available and at the moment the new ones from Korum look to be a good buy at £29.99 would welcome any feedback on these if anyone has used them.

Fox ones seem a bit pricey are they the dogs dangly bits or are we just paying for the name.

Cheers

Stuart

Haven't used them Korum scales myself but could save you £3 if you do decide to go for them

Ditto the Rapala. I bought mine on Ebay, then tested against some digital kitchen scales. Spot on

I have a set of Rapala digital scales but to be honest I can't be bothered weighing to a fraction of an ounce and getting overly anal about finite accuracy anymore...I just guess, which does me fine. I think I paid £15 for 'em on ebay as they were the very cheapest digital option. I s'pose they're useful if I'm fortunate to get a whopper (not much chance of that! ).

Red Panda - as far as I know they don't measure to a fraction of an ounce, do they? Mine go down to the ounce (pretty standard), which is more than good enough for me. Expecting scales to be accurate isn't anal, though I agree that it's not worth weighing the tiddlers (say under 6lb).....

Many thanks for the replys everyone.

Seems to be not a lot of differance price wise between Rapala & Korum so today have bought a set of the Korums will post review when I have given them a good test run, build quality appears as good as anything I have seen so far and you get a battery thrown in as well.

Cheers everyone

Nice one, Merlin. I hope you get to use them sooner rather than later
