Default like fishing in a war zone
yesterday i had a license from the missus for a day and night fishing, excitedly i headed to the warks avon expectant after the rain to be in for a good day, on arrival i was pleased to find myself on the bank alone, river up with abit of colour first cast n the tip whipped around BRANCH, second cast 5mins WEED third cast 5mins BRANCH and so the hour went on like that in the end i packed up and headed to the teme at worcs, again i find the river up and abit of colour, choose my swim cast in 30mins later no branches or weed and i,m happy enven more so when the tip whipped around and a fish on unfortunatley fish lost on hook pull i recast in settle down with a brew night is drawing in and i,m feeling happy being on the bank watching the world go buy then it happens F#C#ING fireworks from all directions FLASHES BANGS CHINESE LANTERNS ROCKETS you name it they threw it in the sky! i sit there till 9.45 watching the free displays whilst all the fish find every hiding hole they could possibly find fireworks still going strong, i decide to pack up and drive home to tell the wife i missed her company hoping abit of creeping will get me another license for a night away

PMSL, Sorry to hear that mate, I hope the missus will let you out again to enjoy the night fishing. Funny thing is you maybe right, regarding the fireworks I mean. Also the weed etc is causing no end of bother on the Trent currently.

They were probably enjoying the display too much to feed

I remember a few years ago whilst breaming, forgot it was the night out loud bangs, the first one went off, nearly put my head through the top of the bivvy.

Not only 5th November, we have had fireworks for (seems like weeks) several days before November.

All down to Dwali!!!

Can't understand any of it, seems a total waste of money to me!

Besides that I thought Guy Fawkes was the only man to ever enter parliament with honest intent!!
