I think you are correct, I don't believe the exact hook pattern has been named or even the type of hook but from what I can gather, about 90% of barbel anglers if legering use a carp hook; with an inturned eye.

I just assumed that the OP was one of the majority?

An inturned eye, straight pointed pattern.

That is where the answers lay: Straight pointed hooks give a good hook up rate, especially considering that the hook rig is set up with an (overly) acute angeled hook.
And your snap offs are in my mind do to the excessive stress placed on your hook link as a result of the usage of a stiff line.

You have several options: Change your hook to a straight or out turned eyed pattern.
Change your hook link material to a more supple one.
Or make up your hooks like these; KORUM BARBLESS HOOK HAIRS WITH QUICKSTOPS All Sizes | eBay and then attach them using a palomar knot.

Agree with the out turned eye. Choddy hook by far the best
For flouro IMO
Use to use in turned eye with silicon over the eye to try
& straighten the line to the shank of the hook it upped
My catch rate with immediate affect but when the choddy hook
Arrived & a couple other makes I've not looked back so much
Easier now
