I already have a good job and fish for pleasure, seclusion and just to relax. You're obviously motivated in a different way, i.e. to make a living out of angling, through sponsorship, penning a column, etc, etc.... Nothing wrong with that at all. Pretty competitive market though, and you have to be a pretty good writer nowadays.

Cheers mate, I feel likewise towards yourself. I myself have my own succesful eco-cleaning business and don't need the money (Not that you make much from angling anyway) so making a living from it is not something I would expect really. All the things you have described are obviously something I would love to do but like you say it's a competitive market and one I don't really expect to break into in regards of writing about barbel angling etc within angling publications every month. I do it because I enjoy it and I want my ideas to be used by anglers looking to use something different or are novices in regards to barbel fishing.
I like writing and reviewing so I would like to work with a company who I respect for what they do and work with good people to enable me to do reviews/features for them. I don't expect to make a living from it, but I obviously wouldn't pass it up if it came along. I just want to be able to do what I love to do with a good company, not about making money or free bait etc. I don't expect to be the best in what I do, I just want to be the best I can be and work with an angling company to do this.
Anyway see you in March and I hope we can have a few beers together.
Regards,
Ricky
