The only dog oil I've heard of is used to massage injuries.

Letter from dog oil sellers

Thank you for your interest in Dog Oil. We haven’t heard of anyone using it specifically for fishing but it is used as a barrier cream for wet, windy and cold weather conditions by gardeners and adventurers.

We would advise against taking it internally but when used on dogs they do tend to lick it off with no apparent ill effects.

If super glue has no ill effects Im sure this stuff is ok to use

Fact is they can say anything they like for the ingredients, there's no regulation in fishing bait, most of the flavours out there are synthetic so they smell right to you not the fish.
I found this out when looking into selling pellets, they will have touch of the real flavour on the packaging but they use synthetic flavours so you can smell it.
