Default How to tie a stringer?
Hi all,
tried tying a stringer tonight on teh Taff for a late frosty Barbel... desperate measures etc. !!
Anyhow, didnt appear to be as easy as I thought. so does anyone have a link showing an easy way? Using luncheon meat it just all got a bit slippery and messy and I couldn't space out the meat as I wanted. Found the easiest way was to tie a huge loop, thread it all on and then trap the end piece of meat with a small bit of stick (to tight to use a boilie stop!), then trap the other under the meat on the hook. However all teh meat just slid down and bunched up... there must be a better way!
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Hi reel fisher, I only wish I could help but have no idea sorry!
best thing to do is to google Garry Evans. It's a tackle shop in cardiff. Phone them and they'll give you some info. I'm sure. I only got in to this coarse fishing mullarkey this past year so am learning too lol. I fished the Wye up at Hereford but that's further than you'll want to go I'm sure.

Hi Rob,
thanks for that I've just bought some tape and it looks a lot better! Just wonder what the melt time is like at this time of year... only one way to find that out
Thanks again!
Ryan

melt time should be fine Ryan, just make sure that your bait items (meat) in this case are spread far enough apart on the tape as not to be touching each other.
