Picked up a little water proof digital thermometer from boots when working in London last week, couldn't wait to take a quick temp reading this morning on my local rive tame.

All rapped up I took a walk do to the river and stuck it in, I held my breath and watched the .c flashing away for 10 secs before it gave me the reading.

And all it said was " Low .c "

river had a bit of colour and a few inches up from nsl.
I did spook 2 fish when I was creeping around, roach i think

Is it one of those limited scale medical things designed to take your own temperature? Shaped to match any orifice?
I reckon any of the cheap digital ones are fine, even if they are a degree or so out, they still give you a good indication of what you want to know. Mine was £1-99 and has been fine for two years or so.
