Ive just signed off my river season with another blank so it must rate as my worst season for many years i did manage quite few barbel from the ribble early season with a 10lb 3oz being my best fish, but the last 5 months have been rubbish with more blanks than ever before, i dont think I'll bother going after barbel next winter, how have you lads gone on ??

This is my first season for barbel, but I must admit that I wont be bothering them next winter but if one wants to grace my hook Smile

When the weather was warmer I was getting barbel every trip bar 3.
Been to the wye at hereford and the severn at ironbridge but the goyt gave me my pb at 8 1/2 lb.

First day of next season will see me on the goyt , thats if we ever break out of this never ending cold winter

personally had a great season for barbel, have struggled to get one this year sadly, i was out on friday and everything seemed perfect rising temps, overcast, slightly coloured river and still i couldnt get one, darnt risk going tomorrow as the wife will kill me lol what selfish b,stard put mothers day on the last day of the fishing season lol?

Very very frustrating on the Thames only had about 8 fish but did manage a new p.b of 11lb 9oz plus lost an unseen monster in a snag.Even the Bream were conspicuos by there absence.Although i struggled other club members said that i was faring better than they were. Oh well roll on Canada.
