Working today. It is a shame it does not show historical data though. I would have liked to see the trends and variations.
Maybe if I seacrh I will find that elsewhere.

Just checked Hannington Bridge and it says 1.9m....dunno where they take there measurements as it is barely 1m (30cm under the bridge) when I was there at the weekend.

1.97 doen't seem out of sync with the recent weather and the normal levels they record there. Look for a small riverside building that seems to have no useful function, by the side of or very near the river. Could be a fair distance from the bridge, it being used only as a station tag.
If the river is not fairly constant in depth, the reading may vary considerably from what you see under the bridge

Ah, I know the little hut, it is next to the bridge. The only place the river could be that deep is just is about 20 yards before the bridge where there is a large pool. Seen here just to the left of the bridge Google Maps

The rest of the river is about 3-4feet max, at least it is downstream from the bridge

I'm permanently on this when the weather further up the Trent valley is on the change, you can track the rise as it comes towards you, its good for spotting peaks.
