What Rod under £100
Looking at getting a rod for about £100 or less, even a used rod. Something I can use in light flood.

Daz - the Wychwood Rogue are highly reputed for the price. I use a Normark or North Western, both of which were bargains on Ebay. There are a couple of Shimano Vengeance rods going on Ebay.....

Well i know this thread has been here a while now and i may be too late to add my opinion but i would 100% go for the Greya Prodigy Specimen i think it's called. It comes with 2 full top sections 1@1.5lb and 1@2lb TC. I have been using two of them for a good while now and have found them absolutely flawless! If i remember rightly they are around £80 and as all greys rods do they come with a lifetime warrenty so if you ever break it they will replace the section of rod free of charge!
Out of interest does anyone else have these??
Mally.

I use the Greys Prodigy rod, love it.
I have always used the 2lb section, you see the odd used one or pair on ebay.
I think the new Greys Prodigy VX retail around £130
look here but be quick, 2 for £150

yip , i have a pair , cracking work horse of a rod coupled with the shimano 3500b's . not the lightest by any stretch , but 99.9% of the time they are sat in rests
the 1.5 tip though for me for all but the biggest of floods , lots of grunt too

Couldn't agree more, think i have only used the 2lb top section twice and that was in very heavy flood water on the trent! have had some great fun battling double figure barbel on the 1.5lb tops!! As saud though they are not the lightest of rods but they do spend most of the time sat in the rests.
I use Shimano Aero 5000 RE Baitrunners with my and find them a good combination for the whiskered specimens of our rivers. Hoping to put them both to test again this time off whilst doing a few sessions on the middle trent.

Sub £100 rod
Hi Big Daz
Take a look at the fox warrior xt 1.75lb tc rod, you can pick them up for around £90 and as with all fox tackle you get good quality, ive been using fox barbel plus rods for 10 years and wouldnt change them, you can also pick these rods up second hand for around £50 each.
