If you want to fish the Severn and also require accomodation, you might want to try the Unicorn Inn at Hampton Loade. Tel: 01746 861515. Or visit-www.unicorninnhamptonloade.co.uk. They offer in-house accomodation or you can camp in their field which is right on the river. The venue itself is right in the middle of 'Barbel Alley' and can be very productive. Fishing on the pub field is controlled by Kinver Freeliners and is £5.00 per day. This can also be night fished. Tickets purchased from the pub. Upstream meadows are controlled by Barbel Alley angling and again is £5.00 per day from the patrolling bailliff. The opposite banks are controlled by Birmingham AA and can be fished on a day permit at £6.00 per day. Hope this helps.

If i was you ide avoid this place like the plague,unless you dont mind music pumping till dawn,the boozer is open late and you can imagine what that leads to,fished it a few times and it was o.k. fishing but the noise and pissheads really spoil it...the b.a.a stretch near-by is much better.....you have been warned...Avoid,unless you dont mind having a rave on the bank.Hampton load is horible,
