Default Sonu Baits Barbel Baits
Has anyone had any success using the new Sonubaits range?

I saw it advertised and when it came into my local shop I looked at it and found that it stank and was very high in oil. So I bought the spicy sausage and my mate got the cheesy garlic.

Well I have not caught anything on mine (using pellets on their own and wrapping the pellets in the matching paste) and my mate had only had a small chub!

Is this a case of the bait catching the angler or has someone had success?

I caught quite a few with them on the Dane early season - spicy sauasage and halibut - but I've reverted to ordinary glugged pellet now. I had a few quiet sessions using them but caught on ordinary pellet so stopped using them. I keep meaning to try them again but since I'm catching OK I haven't done - I just try them now and again when it's quiet and that's probably not the way to do it. The only thing that does bother me is them standing out from what I am feeding, especially the sausage.

I'm sure if I used them again for a full session I'd catch on them but it's a confidence thing, while I'm catching why change? They certainly have a strong smell and leak a lot of oil though.

i have also tried the spicy sausage and the hemp and halibutt not a sniff ,the only way to find out when your catching put one on.but like rick 51 says if your catching on one bait why change,i used 2 new baits last night and i caught on pop-up and never had a bite on hemp and halibutt ,are the fish not used to them ? yet i know somebody has had 2 doubles using them ,i think these pellets might come in later in season with the slow leakage not too sure about the paste it looks too sticky.
