i saw one post that accused him of poaching , why not just pull that single post rather than the entire thread ?

i bailiff one of the waters in question so know what the score is regarding that group . i know the details behind what happened lets put it this way , these bright sparks thought the lancs police helicopter was watching them
to bring up the legal side of things , its a bit of a presumption , these guys cant even string a sentence together nevermind action a group of lawyers over one mans allegation !?

moderation is fine in moderation , but to pull the entire thread over 1 allegation ?? a bit heavy handed me thinks.
this forum is in its infancy , you want people to contribute and feel free to talk about all things fishing within reason . your contributors dont want to feel the heavy hand of moderation at the slightest thing , well i know i dont

regarding clubs with a publicity bans , you say its upto the individual to gain permsion and membership ? very true but ....
another site i visit , northern monkeys , activiely supports the clubs policys . food for thought maybe

end of the day , stigman and his pals have only made complete fools of themselves .they are a laughing stock with zero credibility , if they want to bang the drum about ''big'' fish they have caught, let your membership laugh at them and prove them wrong
not only are they a joke , they have been shown to have a liking for areas they shouldnt be in , so others may benefit from that thread , but its too late now i suppoose

We do support the rules of any club regarding there policys on publicity.

But Im not going to start banning people willy nilly over a few accusations made about club membership.

If he's a member of a club that has a ban on publicity he may face a ban from that club and if the club made contact with me I would remove any photos of fish from there waters.

Ive asked for ID from stigman and joe fish and if they dont proved the info so I can check myself direct with the club they will be banned.

If PAAS emails barbel hunters and asks for images of there fish to be removed from this forum I will do so.

I can't possibly know every inch of every river and also know what club runs what area and and what there rules are regarding publicity, its an impossible task.

Stigman could very well be a member of PAAS as you only need to goto one meeting to join and because him and his mates are young does not mean they are not members and you can't possibley know every member of the PAAS.

Lets get this straight

Glen - you removed one of stigmans pictures a while ago because one of your members pointed out it had his favourite swim in the background.

Several of your members have now confirmed the rest of the pics are from a private stretch with a publicity ban - so why are they still there? Why is it up to the club to contact you? You removed a pic on one persons advice yet ignore the many complaints from others - including one of the clubs baliffs!

as i said , you/this web site clearly do not support any clubs rules .

lets turn this around , you expect any club with publicity bans to scour the Internet forums for pictures of their waters and they then need to contact the forum admin?

yes , you cant possibly know every stretch of water , but as barbelseeker has pointed out , if your forum members point something out to the admin team , more than one on this occasion , surely you should be obliged to act on it regardless of them being members of said club or not ??
and going off what he says , you have past form for removing offending material , in this case one persons favourite swim !!!???

the offending material is on your property which makes it your responsibility ?

If he they don't return thoes emails very soon I will take it as if they are poachers and there images will be removed and accounts banned.

If they do provide me with information that confirms there membership with PAAS there accounts will be left open and the images removed if requested by PAAS.

I will not ban a PAAS member for posting images on this site, its upto them to know PAAS rules regarding this matter.

If PAAS email me asking for certain images to be removed I will do so.
If PAAS dont make contact with me the images will stay.

that seems acceptable , you dont want known poachers as part of your membership do you ?

shouldnt need a request from any club , you are fully aware that member is breaking a club rule , you have the power to act , but only seem to do so when it suits ?

a club should not need to scoure the web searching for images , the committee of most clubs will not have seen all the waters anyway , but if you are told of a problem it should be your responsibility to act

but you are now aware there are pictures that violate a clubs non publicity rule on your 'property' . it is highly unlikely these guys are members ,let alone getting club permission to show them here ??

i must admit , the admin team havent shown up in a good light regarding this situation . a chance has been missed to look strong and act in the appropriate manner
