Hi,just wanted to know if any of you have fished the River Severn Arley, Bewdley. I am going there next month.I did go about the same time last year but had no joy,however I did see the most remarkable sight possible stood on a footbridge viewing a area where it said no fishing......12 barbel sat together...astonishing!
If any of you have fished this area and had some joy what method/tactics was you using,any info will be appreciated,cheers.

Hello, did u find out any info arley was in the BBA water I'm thinking of giveing it ago myself but could do with some info on pegs & tactics, save my self a little time as I only get out once a week
any info would be great thanks

hello mate, yes I did fish it and it is on the BBA as you mentioned, I parked in the Arley Estate car park, its a £1 all day and walked for about half a mile through the fields. Fish with a cage feeder packed with hemp & plug each end with soaked pellets and have a leader of about 3-4 ft long and hair rig it with a pellet.If you intend fishing in the same peg all the time re-cast every 5 mins or so in te 1st hour then every 20 mins after that.if your'e lucky you may have 1 or 2,good luck and let me know how you get on.Povs

if its low and clear the matchmen are scaling right down ,6mm pellet lasooed on to some low diameter mono and very small hooks for the daytime , 3/4mm pellets in small black cap feeders. you'd be better off staying mobile

I take it from that, there are no pegs that stick out as flyers then

Between bridgenorth & bewdly which is the best baa stretch for bagging up on the barbel !!!

To be honest mate,I have only fished the Arley estate area a couple of times as I usually fish the Kennet in Berks and this stretch is just over 2 hours drive away.I don't know of any flyers but when I have caught it was generally late morning.good luck
