Bewdley is fantastic place to fish, my sister lived on the outskirts and I nearly cried when she moved stans in bewdly just over the bridge and its on the left facing the river, the oddest fishing shop in the world , me and my mate counted 120 dead bluebottles in his shop window whilst waiting for it to open, not for sale though as they had to much sentimental value. on a more serious note the town stretch is free, Birmingham anglers own a fair length of the water around bewdley as do kidderminster tickets are around £40 - £50 a season , theres also day tickets available from stans for the upper stretch near the broken bridge, theres one peg on that stretch that I can guarantee you a barbel not a big un but they always there and you have to get up early to get the peg, Ive had them into double figures on the stretch and big chub as well, pm me if you want the details, you may have missed a trick with booking it already as there are some fantastic riverside cottages around there with the tickets already included in the price. ps Is that an ouse fish ???

Is it this one by any chance as this is the best in the area Painsmore Cottage in Bewdley - UK Cottage , I always fancied it but its always booked solid when I try and get in. Safari park 5 mins away from bewdley so lots for the family to do
Nice fish for the ure even harder than the ouse to fish that one

youll fill your boots down there and think its dead easy compared to the ure, agree with you about commercials only ever fished 2 cudmore (quid more) which was a total nightmare and the oaks in sessay up your way , which was a nice quite place, but Id rather blank on a river any day of the week, is that stretch below boroughbridge where its a bit like a canal down that way I believe and very deep. Take a stick float rod in case you get bored of catching on the feeder and take your own bait

Always good for Chub at Tewkesbury several good stretches and to think of it good for Carp and Zander to in the right places and locals were right too some good Bream about (personal Bream record from that area 7lb 2oz). Definitely some good Barbel to be had not record sizes that I found but always nice to have. In fairness one of the old Severn records come from near Tewkesbury so always worth a punt haven’t fished it for a while as I said a mate has been fishing xxx stretch and has been having some good Carp probably due to flooding, overspill from nearby lakes!! If you ever head that way again Pershore on the Warks Avon always worth a bash or pm me and I’ll try and point you in the right direction for the Severn!!
