probably crushing them and putting them in a feeder as an attractant, but always say you never know, did you try one ?

agree with saint,crushed in a feeder i think,the oils and scent dont leak out of a clove till its broken/crushed and it would be a really slow breakdown in cold water.

...although there also is a lot of wild garlic growing on the banks of all the local rivers. Early in the season you can smell it quite intensely. This time of year the foliage has all died off though.

A nice piece of toulouse sausage bends round the hook nicely. Add some puréed garlic, dried marjoram.....and the barbel will be queuing around the corner.

Bait nouveau anyone?

Martin - do you mean the Tame? The Teme's a tributary of the Severn and runs through Worcestershire. If the former, I'm sure you'll be ok.....

Don't you have an pals that fish?
