Would like to have a dabblke on the mersey sometime we could meet up then I have a fish finder it would be interesting to see what Northenden weir threw up. There must be fish if you caught a pike recently.
Ha I struggled but its only a learnin curve. It might help if I fished the stretches and rivers with a good head of fish. Fish finder there's an idea. I know they don't work around weirs because of the sheets of bubbles.
I'm not gonna even think about the barbel yet until I got the hang of the actual river angling I am looking to catch the other species in our rivers to and once I'm confident in fishing the rivers I will then crack on for the barbel
good idea dan, think i advised allong those lines, but saying that there are some belting chub in the tame as well as grayling, small trout, some chunky carp too,and the usual minow, the odd roach, and pike.
