HI Dan,

Sad to hear that you struggled Just got in from work and read your post, I feel it may be a good idea to take your phone number off your post we can always pm you.

Would like to have a dabblke on the mersey sometime we could meet up then I have a fish finder it would be interesting to see what Northenden weir threw up. There must be fish if you caught a pike recently.

I will catch up with you soon.

Must have a bath I think I smell a bit

Ha I struggled but its only a learnin curve. It might help if I fished the stretches and rivers with a good head of fish. Fish finder there's an idea. I know they don't work around weirs because of the sheets of bubbles.

yes the tame is free fishing,so dip your bread dan ! be aware though, there are NO barbel above the wier.

I'm not gonna even think about the barbel yet until I got the hang of the actual river angling I am looking to catch the other species in our rivers to and once I'm confident in fishing the rivers I will then crack on for the barbel

good idea dan,think i advised allong those lines,but saying that there are some belting chub in the tame as well as grayling,small trout,some chunky carp too,and the usual minow,the odd roach,and pike.
