stewart its just the way i fish i like to attack a water big fish dont get big by eating nothing pal its the same with big carp i was only giving advise on what had worked for me and as for the cost of bait well im not bothered as long as it puts fish on the bank i may bomb out on tues when i go but we will see ill keep you informed anyway and tight lines

andybuz.. i did say whatever works for you keep doing it... if your happy doing what yer doing and ya keep catching then fair play to ya mate.. we all have our different ways of fishing...thats what makes the sport so great i'm sure you'll agree....

aya pal. i find casting to often can spook barbel especially in the fairly shallow water of the ribble. just thowt this may help you get a big fat one.
