Theres so many stretches on the ribble the main ones i fish are -
Elston bottom farm on st helens permit , Ribchester at the bridge and in town £5 for the day, Tickle trout back of the hotel £5 at the garage and Church deeps on southport permit.
Results so far in the last 2 weeks.
Ribchester - blank - yet last season got my PB 11lb and was doing 5-10 per evening in august through to september
Elston - blank - there are two farms fished the second one tuesday night first time this season - Last year fished the first farm and my mate pulled 4 out in fast time all around 5lb
Church Deeps - Not fished yet - my mate has been twice nothing but eels and hes there tonight caught a carp so far.
Tickle trout - fished last weekend - lot of people on managed a 4lb barbel but have been told the best peg is right up against the road bridge and cast to the PA side LOL.
Going to Elston second farm tommorow morning so i will let you know how i get on / bait used etc...
Its funny river the ribble one day ther are on it and the next they arent but hey thats fishing - right bait, right spot, right conditions and no fish WTF. Then you rush there after work coz you fancy it with a few pellets and PVA bags not expecting much but just need a bit of quite time and it goes mental.
But thats why we love fishing and expecially barbel fishing
