Hello All.
Im going to the tidal trent opposite Carlton on Trent village next week. And i was wondering if anyone has had any decent barbel out of this stretch. Any info is muchly appreciated.

Bit low just now not conducive conditions for Barbel but this rain lately may help, in Scotland just now so don't know. Loads of eels on the stretch mate, I don't know why they say there's hardly any left. Fish maggots and lots of them via a block end feeder, keep feeding every 5 mins. Use a 'medusa' or maggot clip on a hair and you should do alright. Better still you could try my method out in the "Methods and Tactics" thread, good that it is you may find the maggot and block end being better. Hope that helps.
