Starting Part 5 of my article tomorrow by fishing the Trent for Barbel. I don't hold out much hope of getting a monster catch haul as the water is far too low with no colour whatsoever. Anyway it will be nice to get out once again. Will let you know (without spoiling the article) how I got on.
Need to wait for some rain to start my article. River too low like I suspected and no colour, had a couple of Chub one about 5 and a half and the other about a pound. Had one Barb that I worked bloody hard for at 7 and a half pound on my rig and 2 Perch on worm. Not good conditions for writing an article in this situation. I have never known the Trent this low, ever!
I think it's going to need rain for a couple of weeks to get the rivers back to a decent level, especially on the smaller rivers, the barbel don't want to know, until it gets dark, the rivers are far to low and clear.

Too right Dave, not going to get much rain in Nottingham now after all, damn. May still venture out on Friday though for a little session.
