hi has any one used or got feedback on the john wilson rovex/avon??
havent got a huge budget but dont want any tatt
have about upto £60 to spend

mate,have a look at the shakespear mach 2 range i have one and its a good bit of kit should be able to find one for around £40. if you shop about. i also have a john wilson rod although its a masterline version and again cant fault it.

i'm sure i've seen an add for john wilson rods half price,might be chapmans or climax tackle,i myself use 3 jw young barbel rods all got off ebay for a very good price. theres a big thread on rods on here somewhere dave,look in the seriious barbel chat or the reviews section. its a mine field though as you'll be aware from your carping days,have a read,get some advice then do the tackle shops for a hold n feel for the rods you fancy,then look online for it cheaper lol.
