Default Otters on the Ribble
Hi all..Just wanted to ask any member that fishi around Hurst green on the ribble. have thay seen the big dog Otter that is feeding around Dinkly pool.I sat there last Sunday thinking what can i do to get a fish when this huge Otter just popped up in my swim.Sat there bold as brass. What with all the commerants and mink that are there the fish are going to have a bad time...Sad times for a river that is getting some good fish in it at last..

I've also seen Otters on the Ribble. If they thin the snigs out a bit I've no problem with them in the low numbers that are there.

I think the Mink are a bigger problem than otters, they just kill for killing sake.

Otter's have never left the Ribble catchment area and are meant to be there unlike mink and the black death.
