1) Unscrew the fan off the cpu heat sink. Clean it and the heatsink. Dust! Check fan rotates under power. This fan cools the processor chip.
2) check the PSU fan is rotating, if not replace the PSU unit. This fan exhausts hot air from inside the case.
3) if graphics card has a heatsink/fan. Clean that too. Check fan rotates under power. This fan cools the graphics chip.
Should cure most overheat problems.
