having a bit of trouble. computer keeps turning itself of. i think its overheating. the fans are working overtime.??? arggggggg..

1) Unscrew the fan off the cpu heat sink. Clean it and the heatsink. Dust! Check fan rotates under power. This fan cools the processor chip.
2) check the PSU fan is rotating, if not replace the PSU unit. This fan exhausts hot air from inside the case.
3) if graphics card has a heatsink/fan. Clean that too. Check fan rotates under power. This fan cools the graphics chip.

Should cure most overheat problems.

took the cover of and the 2 copper strips facing the fans were clogged with dust.fans are ok and working..it seems ok now. thanks jayzs for your help..

I had the same shut down problem with the dust on the GFX card fan after I pumped up the res to 1920 x 1080 pix
