I must admit never fished any of their waters but I’ve had a look at their stretch of the Severn at Welshpool and it looks interesting and there are many stories of 15lb+ Barbel and 6lb+ Chub coming from there!! I’m looking at joining either this season or next so will let you know!!

I know of salmon anglers catching an estimated 16lb Barbel from Caerhowell Hall on the Warrington stretch and thats only 2 miles from Welshpool and I have personally caught 6lb Chub on the worm there a few years back.

not fished this high much used to fish alot just above Shrewsbury. I think there are a lot more barbel lower down but scenery isn't as nice! Just back to barbel fishing after a long break and really looking foward to spending some time further upstream.
