I remember sailing up the St. Lawrence river on an AirCraft Carrier (HMS Albion) when we visited Halifax, Montreal, Quebec and St John back in the late 70s. It seemed strange lining the deck sailing up a river on such a large ship.

I wished I could travel further up the seaway to the areas where the Carp where caught but I was more interested in women and booze and sight seeing back then; but I would jump at the chance of revisiting the place with my rods now.

I have heard that there are some huge monster carp in the St Lawrence; Chris Tarrant has fished there for Carp too.
