Default Worldwide Fishing
Hey Glenn.

Any chance you could start a sub-forum ''Worldwide Fishing''. So we can all share our holiday experiences and fishing friendly destinations?

The best place i've been:
.

If any of you guy's go to Thailand for your holiday and have a day in Bangkok you ''MUST GO'' to Bung sam lan/ran for the day, or just a couple of hours,(while the wife goes shopping) it's in Bangkok, just ''GET IN A TAXI AND GO''. PM me for the exact location.

Barbel fight hard, but these thing's are awesome!!!!!

I've emailed and FB'd my mate who lives there and fishes for them Jerry. One of his mates is a guide on the river. Just wait for him to get back to me (he's not easy to get hold of) and I'll let you know.

Jerry

Got some info for you mate.

Heres a bit of the email:

Hi Steve

Not been out for the sturgeon yet this year, the rivers are too high at the moment due to the snow melting in the mountains but have 3 trips booked for August. By now we’ve been out at least a couple of times and unfortunately due to the move I’ll miss the Sturgeon Derby that I entered last year.

He's a top bloke, and will put you on the fish.

I'll give you a ring with more details.

ATB. Steve

Default Fishing on The Roper river Australia
Hi all

Thought i'd share one of my best fishing experiences abroard.

In 2005 I went on a six week tour of Australia a driving trip of about 10,000 miles. While stopped at a town call Mataranka in the Northern Territory I heard that the fishing on the nearby river Roper was very good. So after some further enquiries discovered the there was canoe hire along the river so having bought a lure rod and a bag of lures with me on holiday off I went. It was fantastic I spent several hours paddling up and down the river casting lures in this beautiful location. Had two fish for my couple of hours a Barramundi of about 5lb and a fish called a grunter.

This was a truely unique fishing experience.

Regards

Paul

Has anyone ever fished in the maldives. We are looking to travel there next year but there are that many islands i'm a bit lost as to which will offer the best sport whilst i'm there. Would love a marlin/shark etc.Any advice appreciated.
